Arrangement of Shostakovich 4th String Quartet for Viola and Piano I am a composer with a particular interest in the viola, and have made an arrangement of two movements from Shostakovich's 4th string quartet for viola and piano (total time c. 15:00). I would like to submit this arrangement for publication, and I'm looking for a violist who might be interested in playing it (at least to produce a recording to submit, but also on recital). This arrangement is moderately difficult. I was drawn to the piece because it has many of the same characteristics as the Shostakovich viola sonata, only with nothing near the level of difficulty - no scales in fourths.
