The Fiesztengh Quartet (pronounced "feasting" and meaning that the
musicians do indeed like to eat a lot) is made up of four young
musicians, age 16-17, from the Twin Cities. They are recent winners
of the Rochester Chamber Music Society's competition and finalists in
the new St. Paul String Quartet Competition. They rehearse and
perform as part of the Artaria Chamber Music School and have been
coached this entire past year by Ray Shows of the Artaria String
Quartet. Their violist, Deanna Anderson, is a charter member of the
Minnesota Viola Society, is a private student of Richard Marshall,
and was a finalist in the Schubert Club Competition this year.
